Background To Story

Many great music videos contain a good and well rounded storyline with a decent background storyline too. 

Set in the far future, the music video for 'Aura' focuses on one tribe.

Set after some sort of apocalypse (a meteor, catastrophic global warming, nuclear war etc) small tribes now wander the Earth.  Turning to savages, the tribes are very territorial and are always on the hunt for new shelter and protection.  Food is very low and they are forced to eat what they can find.  Some technology can still be found and used but it is very rare and extremely valuable.

The particular tribe focused on in the music video are searching for new shelter to protect themselves and their leader from the corse weather and other tribes.  The leader of the tribe has recently taken his leadership by force and now has become power mad.  Under the original leader the tribe was well looked after and peaceful, now the tribe are weak and down trodden.  The new leader is power hungry and enjoys making the poor even poorer and enjoys increasing his power.  

Demanding offerings from every single member of the tribe (apart from his well looked after guards) he enjoys watching his 'servants' grovel and give their food and possessions away to him.  Failure to produce an offering results in death!

Although treated badly the tribe cannot run away from the leader as on their own they would simply die on the wasteland or at the hands of a rival tribe, they are also too weak to leave or start a rebellion against their demanding leader and this is one of the reasons why he starves them (to preserve his power).
